What is Next.js, what is Vercel?
Next.js
The technology the website is built with. A React-based framework that renders pages on the server and delivers them as finished HTML.
Vercel
The platform the website runs on. Vercel publishes new versions, distributes the site over a global network and manages the certificate.
Both come from the same company: Vercel develops Next.js. Framework and platform are designed to work together, so new Next.js features run on Vercel without separate server configuration.
The content is right in the HTML
On many modern websites the server first sends an almost empty page, and the text is loaded afterwards with JavaScript. Visitors never notice. A crawler that doesn't run JavaScript finds hardly any content.
With server-side rendering, Next.js prepares every page on the server in advance. Headings, text, links and structured data are in the delivered HTML, including for AI bots that don't run JavaScript.

Several languages, properly linked
Each language version gets its own URL. hreflang tags link the versions so that Google shows searchers the right language.
We generate structured data per language: service descriptions, FAQ and breadcrumbs are in the same language as the visible text.
Moving an existing website to Next.js and Vercel
Already have a website, for example on WordPress? We transfer content, page structure and images to Next.js and launch the site on Vercel.
Before the move we list every existing URL. Each old URL gets a 301 redirect to the matching new page so that no rankings are lost and links from other websites keep working.
Titles, descriptions and structured data move over as well. We review the new site together on a preview link before it goes live.

What does hosting on Vercel cost?+
Vercel charges by plan and usage. The free plan is meant for personal, non-commercial projects; a company website needs a paid plan. Ongoing costs depend mainly on traffic, data volume and the features in use. We agree on the right plan with you before we start.
Can I keep my existing domain?+
Yes. The domain stays with your registrar, and we connect it to Vercel through DNS records. We only change the records for the website, so email accounts on the same domain keep working as before.
Am I tied to Vercel?+
No. Next.js is open source and also runs on other servers, for example with Node.js or in a Docker container. Some platform conveniences, such as preview links, would need a different setup there.
What happens to rankings and URLs when moving from WordPress to Next.js?+
Wherever possible we keep the existing URLs. If a URL changes, we redirect the old one permanently with a 301 to the new one and carry over titles, descriptions and structured data. That way Google can match the new page to the old one. Short-term fluctuations after a move are possible, so afterwards we check in Google Search Console that every redirect works.
How do I change copy later?+
We make text changes for you, and you see the result on a preview link before it goes live. If you want to add a lot of content yourself on a regular basis, WordPress is often the better choice.
Is Next.js only for large companies?+
No. A company website with a few pages also benefits from content that arrives as finished HTML and from fast load times.
Is setting up Google Search Console and Analytics included in the price?+
Yes, both are part of setting up a new website. We create the accounts in your name and hand them over to you with full access. The data stays yours.
